The muscles you are using need more oxygen to function and carry on.
Your heart beats quicker to circulate more oxygenated blood around the body, especially to the area you are using most during that specific exercise. Which is why your breathing rate also increases.
Your heart and muscles will eventually get stronger by becoming used to what it has to do, therefore your muscles need less oxygen and as you get fitter your heart rate will not be as fast.
when you exercise your muscles need more oxygen (which is carried in your blood) so, your heart pumps faster so that more oxygen is available to your working muscles and you can exercise to your full potential. over time, your endurance will develop meaning that your heart doesnt need to beat as fast.
(1) Your heart beats faster so that more blood is pumped around the body in a unit of time.
(2) Prolonged and regular exercise also increases the cardiac volume. That is the volume of blood that is pumped in one beat.
Beats faster to circulates blood faster to get more oxygen
It beats faster and over time will get stronger.
It puts on lycra and jumps to the beat!
