Avoid caffeine, chocolate, anything acidic like tomatoes, onions, and anything spicy to begin with.
To fight you can try ginger tea, spearmint tea, chewing spearmint or peppermint gum (it's something to do with the mint and your saliva that helps to ease heartburn), or drink milk.

I took a shot glass full of pure lemon juice, it hurt going down but after it did the heart burn was gone. My friend told me about it and said the different kinds of acid off balanced each other. I was kinda skeptical but decided it wouldn't hurt to try. But it worked for me.
baking soda.
I used that. Dilute in water. Instructions are on every baking soda box.
That is what tums and rolaids are-sodium bicorbonate
You can use Tums, Rolaids, etc…they aren't really medicine and they won't have any effect on your baby.
Mineral water or soda water. It will help you burp. Worked wonders for me.
You could try drinking milk that helps me some times
