What can happen to you if your heart rate is increased that much? Can you die or something? And how do you even get a heart or panic attack in the first place? They say that weed doesn’t kill anyone, but has anyone ever died from panic or heart attacks due to weed?

Cannabis can most definitely raise your heart rate, but it's not a significant level. Four times your normal heart rate would raise it to fatal levels. Since there are no recorded deaths due to marijuana use alone, it's safe to say this has not caused any deaths.
Marijuana has both a depressant effect (the feeling of being tired, dizzy, decreased mental function etc.) and a stimulative effect (increased heart rate mostly). Lost of people done notice the stimulative effect because the depressant effect is powerful so that they dont think of it. It is not true that it increases your heart rate by more than 4 times (that would be fatal). The increase in heart rate is small but noticeable. The risks associated with this increased heart rate are less than caffeine and i wouldnt worry about it.
If somebody has a weak heart, they shouldn't smoke because they can easily have a heart attack.
I knew a guy who had some strange condition that messed with his heart, and he was a drummer in a rock band so I'm sure he smoked, plus he died of a heart attack on 4/20. So make what you will of that, I was 10 when I knew him, and I only put those pieces together a few years ago, but it all seems to fit.
—EDIT—-
By the way, I'm not saying that weed killed him, it just may have led to his death. And I'm not saying don't smoke because I definitely support smoking weed. =]
I've never heard anything about problems in heart rate with cannabis.
I don't know what the other guys talking about, but I can assure you that not one person has ever died from marijuana.
The change of heart rate is not noticeable at all, and I believe a cup of coffee would have more of an effect.
Usually the heart rate decreases after a few minutes.
That's what iv'e read and from personal expierence. And people I know. But I never heard anyone dieing from it,
I know I guy who had heart surgery and he smoked because of pain, he was ok, not that it wasn't damaging.
nothing will happen and you will certainly not die. nobody has ever died from marijuana. it does raise your heart rate but no where near enough to kill you. you have a much better chance of dying by eating mcdonalds than smoking weed.
Because you heart is working too fast and can cause heart attacks and heart problems in general. And Yes I'm sure that someone has died from a heart attack or a heart problem because of weed.
marijuana certainly raises your heart rate for a little bit, but not 4 times. It might increase it by 20-50%, not 400%
haha who said that…whenever i smoked pot before ,it never raised my heart rate…never heard of that
